Q1: What is the material for M3?
A: M3 is made of TC4 titanium.

Q2: Is there a difference between TC4 titanium and grade 5 titanium (Ti6AI4V)?
A: TC4 titanium is actually grade 5 Titanium (Ti6Al4V). Ti6Al4V is the detailed material component of TC4, so they are the same thing.

Q3: What scenarios will the bright titanium light M3 be used in?

A: M3 is perfect for gifting or collecting due to the outstanding textural quality. Also, it's a great everyday carry light for a night walk, self-defense, sundries search, or anytime when you need brightness.

Q4: What does EDC stand for?
A: Every day carry (EDC) or every-day carry is a collection of useful items that are consistently carried on a person every day.

An EDC flashlight can usually fit in the pocket just fine and be lightweight because it will be carried throughout the day.

Besides the small size and lightweight, it should come in handy for self-defense in an emergency, for example, strobe.

In the market, ti edc is extremely popular. Besides, you may also find some brass edc, copper edc, or EDC gears that are made of stainless steel, or even titanium damascus.

Q5: What makes titanium flashlight so sought-after?

A: Probably you have noticed the titanium EDC gear is really popular. Maybe you are wondering why people are willing to pay quite a lot for a titanium flashlight. However, probably you would also be impressed by the sleek, splendid appearance and awesome metal texture.

Besides the stunning look, titanium is tougher, which makes your titanium EDC flashlight more durable and rugged.

In addition, ti flashlights are resistant to corrosion, rust and don’t rub off nor wear, which makes them easier to maintain for consumers.

Q6: Titanium VS Aluminum VS Copper VS Stainless Steel

Titanium pros

☑️ Stronger
☑️ More popular for collection, especially in limited edition for aesthetic reasons. Titanium pen, knives, lighter, titanium keychain, torch, and such type of titanium edc items are sought-after.
☑️ Bare titanium is resistant to corrosion and rust while aluminum needs an anodizing finish
☑️ No worry for rub off nor wear with easier upkeep for consumers

Titanium cons

✖️ Heat transfer is good but not as good as aluminum, so high power light with higher voltage is more common on aluminum lights while titanium is a more wise choice for mini and compact lanterns.
✖️ The conductivity performance is not as good as aluminum.
✖️ Light but a little bit heavier than aluminum
✖️ More expensive than aluminum in material and CNC machining. You can get both titanium and aluminum torches in different colors, such as black, red, blue and etc, but the machining cost would not be the same.

Aluminum Pros

☑️ The most lightweight
☑️ Good thermal properties (good conductivity and when dark-anodized excellent emissivity)
☑️ Thick anodization can actually make it super durable
☑️ Good resistance to corrosion and basic oxidation.
☑️ Easily machinable
☑️ Low-cost.

Aluminum Cons

✖️ Bare aluminum scratches easily.
✖️ Anodizing can wear off, even with Type III anodizing. Silvery scratches are quite visible against dark-colored anodizing.
✖️ Worse thermal and electrical conductivity per volume vs copper
✖️ Softer than steel and titanium alloys
✖️ Very poor chemical resistance.

If you prefer a more cost-effective aluminum small edc flashlight, please check M2.

Copper Pros

☑️ Best thermal and electrical conductivity.
☑️ Tensile strength is about 40% higher than that of aluminum and very durable
☑️ Easily machinable
☑️ Effective anti-microbial properties, which are useful while working in sanitation facilities.
☑️ Decent chemical resistance
☑️ Highest thermal capacity per volume and can easily be electroplated for some gorgeous surface finishes.
☑️ Looks gorgeous without patina

Copper Cons

✖️ Very heavy
✖️ Very high cost.
✖️ Softer than aluminum
✖️ Oxidizes quite rapidly

Stainless Pros

☑️ Lowest cost.
☑️ Highest resistance if weight isn’t a concern.
☑️ Very high chemical resistance.

Stainless Cons

✖️ Heaviest
✖️ Very poor thermal and electrical conductivity

In short, sure each of them has advantages and disadvantages. You can see what you care about most and choose your best accordingly.
