Brief Introduction

HS6R is a full metal TYPE-C work headlamp specially built for industrial operations, outdoor searching, rescuing, caving, bike riding and fishing. The white long throw light, neutral white wide beam and red light can work simultaneously or separately with max 1400 lumens. The usb TYPE-C rechargeable 18650 headlamp also features IPX8 waterproofness and 2 meters impact resistance for all weather and all tough environment.

With the optional helmet mount, the high power headlamp can also work as a helmet headlamp or hard hat light.

Q1: Is HS6R a wide beam led headlamp, or a narrow beam?
A: HS6R features both flood and focused beams. The flood beam is also called wide beam, which is useful for close-distance lighting, such as up-close repair work, reading, general hiking, or camping. Since it’s wide, generally it cannot throw the light to a long distance.

The opposite is a focused beam, which is also called a spot or narrow beam. This type of beam achieves long-range viewing, which is better for hunting or navigating a trail in the darkness.

One of HS6R core features is the flood and focused beam can work separately for different tasks, or simultaneously for multipurpose use with 1400 lumen and 170m throw.

Q2: What are the benefits and uses of red Light on HS6R?

1) Preserving Your Night Vision and Good for Your Eyes

Rhodopsin in the human rods is insensitive to the longer red wavelengths, and the red light does not cause the human eye pupil to shrink to the same degree as more bluish/white light, so red LEDs do not appear as bright as white LEDs for human eyes. Thus, the best option would be using red lighting to navigate your way in darkness which allows you to see around, while at the same time keeping your eyes adjusted for the dark.

2) Keeping You Away from Mosquitoes

When you are in the wild, are you plagued by the ubiquitous mosquito, especially when you carry a white lighting tool? However, the red makes it more difficult for bugs to see the light. Try it out next time when you're in the dark.

3) Working as a Signal Light

Red light is considered as a signal for attention, which makes it come in handy in an emergency to keep you noted.

4) Less Light Pollution

In case you are an astrophile, or you are taking your kids for stargazing, the red light would be an ideal gear because it creates less light pollution than white light.

5) Less Blinding Light

Since white light would emit more light in the blue spectrum, which suppresses melatonin and makes the user fall asleep slower. Also, when you are using a lamp on a camping trip, the white light may wake up your friend. At this time, the red light would make you and your friend’s trip more pleasant.

Q3: How can I use my work headlamp HS6R?
A: You could either put it on your head or on a hat for hands-free. Also, with the optional helmet mount, it can be a good helmet light or hard hat light for a longer working time.

Q4: What’s the battery for HS6R?
A: HS6R is a 18650 headlamp that is also compatible with 2*CR123A or RCR123A batteries. In the package, you will get a high-quality 2600mAh 18650 for free.

Q5: How can my HS6R be charged?
A: HS6R is a USB TYPE-C rechargeable headlamp. You can charge the light directly with the TYPE-C cable included in the package and a 5V adaptor. Also, the included 18650 Li-ion battery is rechargeable, so you can charge the battery with a smart charger.

Q6: What are the LEDs for the high power headlamp HS6R?
A: It has 4 LEDs, 1*LUMINUS SST 40 for the spotlight, 1*LUMINUS SST-20-W for the floodlight, and two 2835 red lights.

Q7: What does CRI mean? And what's the CRI for the white floodlight of HS6R?
A: CRI means color rendering index. It is the measurement of how colors look under a light source when compared with sunlight. Generally, lights with a CRI greater than 80 are considered to be more than acceptable for most applications. Lights with a CRI greater than 90 are generally considered “High CRI” lights. The higher the CRI is, the more accurate the light source is to reflect the true color of an object.

The CRI of HS6R wide beam light is as high as 95, which makes objects appear very similar to how they would look under natural lighting conditions and protects your eyesight. Thus, HS6R wide beam is very good for close lighting such as camping, reading, or repairing work.

Q8: What's the color temperature for the LEDs?
A: For the narrow long-range white light, it is about 6500K. For the wide beam neutral white light, it's 4000K.

Q9: How can I get access to the narrow beam, wide beam, and red lighting quickly?

A: HS6R has 2 modes. The main light for HS6R is the narrow beam. The auxiliary lights include wide beam and red lighting. The side switch is for the main light and the top switch is for the auxiliary light. The main and auxiliary lights are working independently without interference from each other.

Q10: What's the lens for HS6R?
A: The lens for HS6R is the grade 10 super impact-resistant PC lens.

Q11: What's the material for HS6R?
A: HS6R is a full metal industrial headlamp. The body is made of aero grade aluminum, the bracket and frame are made of high-strength stainless steel. So it’s a full metal headlight that is great for rough environments.

Q12: Can the headlamp be adjustable for different angle lighting?
A: Yes, it’s 90° adjustable by pivoting up or down for multiple directional illuminations.

Q13: How long can the light be fully charged?
A: With the TYPE-C fast charging, HS6R can be fully charged in just about 3 hours.

Q14: How can I know my work headlamp needs charging or battery replacement?
A: HS6R has a dynamic real-time battery monitoring system. When you press the side switch at any time, the indicator will work and show the remaining power level in the below way:

Battery > 80% - green on
Battery 50%-80% - green flicker
Battery 20%-50% - red on
Battery < 20% - red flicker

Besides, HS6R has a low power reminding function. The light will flicker 3 times every 5 minutes when power is low during use to remind the user to charge.

Q15: Why cannot my headlamp go to the Turbo function sometimes?
A: There are 2 possible reasons.

1) Intelligent overheat protection based on time and temperature.
When the light work on the Turbo mode for 1 minute, it will automatically switch down to 1000 lumens to avoid overheating. Also, when the heat is over the safety data, the output will automatically step down to reduce heat. When the temperature is lower than the safety value, the output will gradually increase.

2) Low-voltage downshift
When the voltage is lower than 3.0V, the flashlight will automatically step down to a lower brightness level till the battery runs out to reserve more runtime.

Q16: Can the headlamp be used in snow and rain?
A: Yes, HS6R is IPX8 waterproof, which can work 2 meters underwater. With the industrial-grade components, it can work efficiently in environmental temperature of -30℃ to 50℃. Thus, you do not need to worry about severe cold or hot, rain or snow, HS6R can work well in all seasons and all weather.

Q17: Will HS6R be damaged if it falls off my head by accident?
A: HS6R is 2 meters impact-resistant, so it will not be damaged when falling off from the head for general users.

Q18: How shall I store my headlamp?
A: Firstly, I would highly recommend storing all gear with batteries removed. Secondly, please keep the light away from fire. The storage environment temperature for the headlamp is -35℃ to 65℃.
