Q1: What can I use my multi color flashlight H5 for?
A: H5 is a long-range flashlight specially designed for hunting, shooting, and searching with white, red, and green lighting.

Q2: What is the red light on a flashlight for?
A: Most people are used to white light because it’s nearest to the original color we’ve seen in the sunshine at daytime and can throw the light furthest, which is a great option for most applications such as camping and other outdoor activities. However, in case you use white light for hunting, the shadow it casts would easily scare the animals away. White light would also make your eyes hard to adjust to the darkness. After you turn the light off or when you look away, it will take you quite a while before your natural night sight recovers. Another issue is because white light is easy to attract mosquitoes.

Instead, red light is the most common color for hunting because it’s less visible for most animals we hunt.

Another benefit from red light is preserving night vision. That's because the rhodopsin contained within the rods in your eyes is less sensitive to the color red within longer wavelengths of light. Red light is also keeping you away from the mosquitoes.

One more feature of red light is its warning function. It’s helpful for you to be noticed while not dazzling the other person to keep you safe in the street or working as SOS in darkness.

Q3: What's the purpose of a green light flashlight?
A: For most species, green light is more visible than red light but still better than white light. Also, green works best in foggy weather. Additionally, since it is more powerful than red, the beam throw would be farther and vision would be clearer.

Q4: What’s the difference between H5 and a traditional green and red filter flashlight?
A: H5 is also a green and red filter flashlight coming with only one white LED. However, it uses the built-in filter patent, which has put the filters inside of the flashlight. That means, no extra mounting of filters is needed anymore. Users do not have to worry about filters being lost anymore Instead, for traditional filter flashlights, users have to mount a red filter for red lighting and a green filter for green-lighting separately.

Q5: Is there any other item from FreasyGears using the built-in filter patent?
A: Yes, the portable night hunting flashlight H3 also uses this patent. It's an 1 inch tactical flashlight that can work with a gun mount and remote switch as well. The difference between H3 and H5 is the diameter of the head. H3 is more portable and the beam throw is 400 meters.

Q6: Shall I take a red or green flashlight for deer hunting?
A: The best choice would be red.

Q7: Do red lights spook coyotes?
A: Coyotes and foxes can not see the red light spectrum so it does not scare them.

Q8: What is the best color light for varmint hunting?
A: Red.

Q9: What is the best color light for hunting feral hogs?
A: Green.

Q10: What battery does H5 tactical light use?
A: H5 comes with one 5000mAh 21700 Li-ion battery with TYPE-C charging port on top. It's also compatible with one 18650 Li-ion rechargeable battery.

Q11: 18650 vs 21700
A: All 21700 flashlights from FreasyGears are compatible with 18650. So, what are the differences between these two types of batteries?

Similarities
Both are rechargeable Li-ion battery

Differences
Size
18650 and 21700 refer to the physical size of the lithium-ion cell.18650 refers to 18 mm diameter and 65 mm length. Similarly, 21700 is 21 mm diameter and 70 mm length.

Capacity and Energy
With a bigger size and larger volume, 21700 has a bigger capacity and more energy, which means longer runtime, but meanwhile, it needs a longer time for charging. The capacity for 18650 is from 2000mAh to 3500mAh in the market now but for 21700, it’s normally from 3000mAh to 5000mAh.

Q12: Does H5 has a memory function?
A: Yes, it has. When the light is turned on, it will automatically go to the last brightness level before power off. Strobe will not be memorized.
